PPM related errors ?

Master data validation has given two errors related to PPM

1) " Primary resource of mode 0010 W 00001 has no resource-specific data"

and

2) " No resource is defined as a calendar resource in mode 0010 W 00001"

can anyone please elaborate me on this issue ???

Hi,

In the PPM, go to the "Mode" tab. Double click on the resource. ou shall see check box for "Multi-Resource" and "Calendar Resource". If the factory calender for the location defined here corrosponds to the resource location ( which means the resource will be scheduled as per this calendar mentioned in the resource master), then Check Calendar resource" check box. You will not get error #2.

Please also check if you have defined activity duration or a Variable or fixed bucket consumption, or any time dependant data for error#1

Hi,

Please check the 'activity' of the PPM. go to 'mode' tab, check the resource is there or not. Also ensure that variable and fixed bucket consumtion are defined their.

Check your resource, that it is a production resource, its must be a 'bucket'/'mixed' resource' and you have attached a production calender to it.

Hi Sanjay,

1) Your first error corresponds to the below explanation.

No resource has been created yet for operation 0020. If you display an existing resource of operation 0010 and then display the resource of operation 0020, the system displays the resource of operation 0010 in the 'Name of primary resource' field. When the system checks the PPM, it issues the error message mentioned above.

2) Regarding your second query, check whether the planning calendar is attached to the resources mentioned in the PPM.
