Customer - Vendor - Business partner * set-subset relationship

Hi All,

My task is to collect all "trade partners" from ERP. Those that can be used in our GDS 2.1 Java application.

According to informations I received "trade partners" can be customers, vendors, business partners.

@oes anybody know if there is a set-subset relationship between the 3 sets menioned in the topic? (Customers, Vendors, Business partners).

@BTW does anybody know where "Business partners" are stored in ERP?

Although this topic is not necessarily about business partners (if it is about customers and vendors),

I ask here anyway, since these seems to be overlapping for me, I hope I won't be warned.

Thanks in advance,

Balázs

Hi Balázs,

yes there could be an indirrect relation between the ERP BP, customer and vendor.

In the past, IS-FS-BP had a synchronisation functionality.

Now, starting with ERP 2005 release (600), a synchronisation functionality has been introduced.

See

/SPRO

/ Cross-Application Components

/ Master Data Synchronization

/ Customer/Vendor Integration

The main table for business partners is BUT000 (like for CRM) as the business partners are part of AP Application platform

The link and relations between ERP customer/vendors and business partners are

CVI_CUST_CT_LINK

CVI_CUST_LINK

CVI_VEND_LINK

Hope this answers your question

Thank you, this solved my problem.

I didt'n know about "roles"/"profile": that Vendor/BP can have a customer profile and in this case a costomer instance belongs to it.

Thank you Alain for the answering.

Your reply helped me!
