HI all,
I have doubt regarding the updation of the file systems .We have three filesystems
/usr/sap
/sapmnt
/oracle
In these file systems are the updates happening only to /oracle file system or else all the three file systems are getting updated ?

Hi
usr/sap gets updated daily
it contains usr/sap/trans- whenever any transport is made all the data files and cofiles go in this directory only
usr/sap/<SID>- contains data, log and work.all the work processes logs get writtn in this directory, all the temporary files are stored here only
/sapmnt is a logical link to usr/sap/<SID>
so if you check /sapmnt/<SID> and /usr/sap/<SID>,the contents will be same
Hope this helps
Rohit
