availability control and tolerance limit

how to configure availability control and tolerance limit for posting via fb50 against a wbs element.?

hi

you have to have Budget Profile

and you have to map the budget profile with the tolerance limit profile

in the tolerance limit setting you have to put the activity type "++".

yes released indicator is set and i also have released the budget.

Check if the tolerance limit is set against the correct Budget profile and Contolling area.

If these things are ok, then try deactivating the availability control and again activate it.

i want that error message should come at the time of posting via fb50 when posting amount is more than 50% of budget.

I think all your settings are right.

If any changes are made in the budget profile after you created the project, the same may not be dynamically applied for the current project. If this is the case, create a new project and check your cycle. See what happens and let me know.

budget profile setting:

activation type: 1

overall and release ticked.

tolerance limit setting:

trp. grp.: ++

action: 3

usage: 50

1st i created a project

2nd i allocated budget 50,000 , overall value, via cj30 to top wbs element

3rd i released the project

4th i released the whole budget 50,000

system status of top wbs element is "REL BUDG AVAC"

now i go to fb50

and avac is working properly.

In Tolerance Limit do the setting as

TRGT Group = 04 &05

ACT = 3

Usage = 50%

This is to be done in without deleting previous settings.

i have released the project.

i have 20,000 as current budget

i have budget profile with "automatic activation during allocation " in availability control and have set tolerance limit "++" and 50 %.

now our requirement is that when a posting say travel expense is made via fb50 then if the amount entered is greater than 50% of 20,000 than it should give an error message.

will these settings work?

are you assigning the WBS element in the FB50 transaction.

Check if the "release" indicator is set in the Budget profile.

If this is set, the Budget check will be done only if the allocated budget is released. Otherwise it will not check.

Check this setting.
