Can't set color per system

I can change colors per system (DEV, TST, PRD) only on some workstations but not on other workstations. On some workstations the button to set colors per system is simply not available.

Do I need to do some customizing or has this to do with authorisation on the workstation?

Hello Jans-Beken,

=>The Customizing of Local Layout (Alt+F12) button appears by default in the standard toolbar of any transaction. There is a list of available functions under this button. This is minimum I have seen with SAPGUI 6.20 and onwards.

=>The color to system can be set by either AltF12 -> Set Color To System OR AltF12 -> New Visual Design.

=>Following are some sites, which gives the details about changing the color for different SAPGUI versions-

http://web.mit.edu/sapr3/docs/webdocs/getstarted/gsCOLORS.html

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/c8/e53c418f35ef23e10000000a155106/content.htm

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/fd/7c4a41edf0db2be10000000a1550b0/content.htm

Which SAPGUI version you are using for the PCs on which you couldn't do the color settings?

PS: If the answer solves your query, please reward points.

I have the Same issue but in a refined manner. The Button is available in the Screens of some users but no changes to Colour appear even if i change the colour. Its OK with a few desktops but for a few the ALT+F12 works and once i select a different colour it does not change. Please help me to let me know any settings in Windows or SAP gui or Authorizations which needs to be changed.

We had the same issue. What we did is

1. Alt+F12 -> New Visual Design

Select the General tab. In the Active Theme (top left) window, make sure select System Dependent. Click on Apply.

2. Click on the color setting tab or Alt+F12 -> Set Color to System

That will let you choose the color.

Hope that works.
