Infoset query

Hai all,

I would like to know the procedure for creation of infoset query on two database tables(using generic extraction)and load the data into an ODS???Please help me on this issue. And what are the problems we will encounter??If any?

Sairam,

Just go to transaction SQ02 and join the tables that you want to create the view on. Then go to RSo2 and create a data source based on this Join selecting the option "Extraction from DB view". Activate your data source and then Test the extraction in RSA3. Then create the normal Infosource on BW and load the ODS. Make sure that the joins are using the right key...Hope it helps..

HEY GUYS,

how ya doin ?

i am also looking for the same thing....

I know Classical infosets and Create Infosets under InfoArea. In these 2 types no option of extracting data from Generic tables are available.

RSQ02(in BW) and SQ02(in R/3) are having the option of getting data from

1. Table Joins using Basis Table or

2. Direct Read of Table

3. Logical Database

4. Retrival by program.

How to deal with that ?
