internal ( within ur grp of company codes )
in ur ASIS , we r having 3rd party processing also
so my question is
Is there any specific need/reqmt/benifit in defining another Distr chanl or either go without this
pls suggest in this case with valid reasons if required

Hi ,
There is no need for adding one more Dist channel for Third party sales,
But if you want to take report of sales happened through Third party sales, then u can go for one more Dist channel and sales order using that dist channel
Actually there is no need , it depends on client requirement

Sunitha,
As per you information, you have specified domestic, exports, internal ( within ur grp of company codes ).
Third Order party processing
I don't think you need to have an Extra Distribution channel, Cause these goods will be delivered by third party vendor.
Third party processing is controlled by material types. Material types is produced internally or can be ordered from third party or it cab be both.
If third party order processing is a regular future then we can list materials under material type "Trading Goods", item category Group - BANS, Item category will be TAS. This will be Automatic third party processing
ELSE
If you manufacture your own Finished product, you are performing sales for those products and occasionaly you will go for third party processing then opt for Manual third party order processing changing item category from TAN to TAS.
Verify the scenario from the customer, it will be helpful

Hi sunitha,
Here you need not to Distribution channel for third party sales because if you are processing with in the country you can continue with domestic.

In third-party processing the company transfers the sales order to an external vendor. This vendor delivers the goods directly to the customer and invoices.
So there is no need to create another DC just for a 3rd party process. You can well do manage with the existing DC's.
Hope this is helps.
