How to add multiple users (say 1000) to a role in ECC 6.0?

We are using ECC5.0 as per my knowledge in ecc5.0 From T-Code su10 (user mass) we can lock and unlock the users and address datas,from su10 I donu2019t think this is possible to assign multiple user to single role.

Through T-Code PFCG we can copy cast 26 by 26 and save and compare.

If you are going to su01 to mass changes also itu2019s going to su10

PFCG is the best way I think

Yes it is... use the change button -> go to the role tab and add the role.

Through su10 we can use multiple user but where can we add role

SU10 -> Select users -> Click on the "Change" button -> Go to the "Roles" tab -> Add role -> Save.

I cannot type it any more clear.

You can also do it within role

just go to PFCG,type the name of role and edit

In the users tab,give or select the list of all the users that you want to assign the role and save and do a user comparison

Hi

You can actually add multiple users to a role using transaction SU01. From SU01, use the menu Environment->Mass Changes.

Here you can manually add the users, select them by address or authorisation data. Once you have your user list, you can then add or remove roles and/or profiles.

Secondly , You can use SU10 to do mass changes to multiple users including role assignments per logical systems

All this allows me to add only a few users. How to add around 100 users?

Hi Sridevi,

As already told by others you can add a role to multiple users using SU10

If you want to add role to already existing users, you need to do User Selection(either address data or Authorization Data) and then select the users to whom you want that role to be applied and click transfer and the assign role.

If you want to create users and add then give all the user names in su10 and click create button and assign role.
