Errors During sap 4.7 installation-kindly help

Hi friends,

I am getting 3 errors during sap 4.7 installation.kindly help.

i herewwith giving the error details:-

1. R/3 Basis System Initialization DB-Connect Failed, Return code 000256

2. R/3 Basis System: operating system call Recv failed error no. 10054

3. R/3 Basis System: Database connection Disconnected.

After i have strated the sap server(MMC) first it will goto yellow and then green and againg goes to yellow color. message and dispatcher turned to gray.

Pls help.your advise is considered very useful

Hi William,

Possible reasons:

1. Network Issue

2. PC was shutdown without closing SAPGUI

3. power failure

4. PC with blue screen

5. network problem on server

6. PC with bad network card

7. SAPGUI crashed

etc... ...

William,

It looks like you have some network connectivity problem. Have you carried out all the steps as per the installation guide? If you do not have the network then you need to install microsoft loopback adapter.

Please set all the environment variables and give one more try.

It will be helpful if you could post sapinst log.
