Setting up single sign-on in PI 7.1

Has anyone found a 'how-to' guide for setting up single sign-on in PI 7.1?

I used the (excellent) guide for XI 7.0 but there appear to be some differences (for example, the sap.com/com.sap.xi.rwb*rwb_mdt component is missing in the runtime policy configurations), so I'm am looking for the corresponding guide for 7.1.

Hello Guy

A quick search of help.sap.com returned the link below:

Single Sign-On Configuration

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/32/1c1041a0f6f16fe10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm

I think this is what you are looking for.

You're right...that's what I wanted. Suffering from information overload, I think.

However, I'm still suffering from the same problems I found using the old guide - namely that some of the components are missing;

sap.com/com.sap.xi.rwb*rwb_mdt,

sap.com/com.sap.xi.mdt*AdapterMessageMonitoring_basic,

sap.com/com.sap.xi.mdt*AdapterMessageMonitoring_ssl,

sap.com/com.sap.xi.mdt*mdt and

sap.com/com.sap.rprof.remoteProfile*exchangeProfile

.....are all absent.

Having done what I can from the guide, I now get 'single signon failed' appearing on the logon dialog. (I can still log on to each component individually)

Hi,

use the above link from help.sap.com to configure single signon in PI7.1.......do not use your document for PI 7.0 to configure single signon in PI7.1 as some components may have changed.........

since you have already done the configuration as in PI7.0, so i will suggest you to leave that configuration as such and just follow the steps in the above link and see after you have done the above steps, you are able to use single singon in PI7.1.

We were facing the same problem with SSO in PI 7.1 until we did the following:

In NetWeaver Administrator go to Operations Management -> Users and Access -> Identity Management. Search for Role "Everyone" and assign the following actions to the role:

keystore-view.TicketKeystore - entry-actions.all.all

keystore-view.TicketKeystore - property-actions.all.all

keystore-view.TicketKeystore - view-actions.all.all

I hope this solves your problem as it did for us.

@Nathan: Thanks buddy, this is pure gold! After the everyone role modification SSO to the integration builder is now possible.

Edit: note, i am not the initial poster, so that problem might still exist!
