Just create a directory /usr/sap/SID/tmp

Will work for sure.

Hi

Confirmed - the two Microsoft Windows Server patches do the trick, and this also resolves a similar problem during the creation of a new Solution Manager 7.1 (EHP1) installation using the 64-bit kernel on Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition x64 Edition.

I do approve the above recommendation, it fixed the same issue I had.

Hello,

I'm trying to install the "SAP NetWeaver 7.01 SR1 ABAP Trial Version" and during the phase2 I have the same error...

1st question: does this installation is win7 compatible?

If yes: can someone know a real solution to resolve this problem?

My system config:

Win7 (64bits) + java j2re1.4.2_07

These Java version are already installed:

- java 6 update 14 (64bits)

- java 6 update 17

Maybe the problem could come from these version 6 of Java because I saw that this SAP install is not compatible with 1.4.5 higher java version ?

Thx in advance for your help.

Hi

If you system is connected to network then disable Loop backadaptor

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

192.168.1.6

Change Hostfile

192.168.1.6 lupo3000

If you want loop backadaptor then disable Local area connection settings

R u sure 64bit AMD server supports ABAP Trial version ?

Hi Uday,

i will check this asap. Another topic i found out when looking at the log files of my server : there the message was done that the Installation requires a 32 bit operation system bit i have installed microsoft server 64 bit . So i will alo try to install a windows server 32 bit system, not sure if this works although i run on a 64 bit processor .

Thanks for your response and i will keep you in the loop regarding my efforts to do the insatllation .
