Hi experts,

What's the use of sort 2? For self-developed report? U know, when searching a customer, I can use sort 1 as search term, or part of the customer's name as name, etc. But sort 2 cannot be used as search term to search a customer.

Pls advise. Thx.

hi

You can use both the SORT1 and SORT2 while searching for the customer

You can, for example, enter the significant part of a name, or an

identifier used within an organization for organizational assignment.

For the firm "Karl Hechinger & Sons p.l.c." you maintain 'Hechinger',

for example, as the first search term.

You maintain your name abbreviation that is used within your firm as the

second search term, so that you can later easily identify the data you

entered.

This is from F1 help which describes the functionality of SORT2

Hi, thx for your valuable reply.

It seems sort 2 is not showed when searching customer. So, how can I later easily identify the data you entered after sort 2 is maintained?

Does it mean I need to dig into the general data of CM? If yes, it seems helpless.

Hi

This option is provided even u have maintained sort1 and sort2 u search the customer using either of them

how can I later easily identify the data you entered after sort 2 is maintained?

your ultimate goal is to identify the customer whether it is from SORT1 or SORT2

Just read the above post i hope it will make it clear

Suppose i have created a customer "nokia mobiles"

in SORT1 i will maintain it as NOKIA and in SORT2 as NM

and for that while searching the customer you have to select CUSTOMERS BY ADDRESS ATTRIBUTES

REGARDS
