Upgrade R3 error in prepare phase

Hi people,

Iu00B4m making the upgrade of R3 4.7 Enterprise. Iu00B4m in the prepare phase, I make all the module and the status was succeeded, but I back to make the same phase and iu00B4ve found with the first modul have an error.

Iu00B4ve seen in the log car.sav the next message

Iu00B4ve restarted the server but itu00B4s the same. What can i do???

Hi,

You can repeat prepare, What i suggest you, rename the put directory. Create a new put Directory and start the prepare. It will work. Take the backup of the librfc32.dll and rename it. Try with this first. If does not work rename the put directory.

I´ve change the file in the two folder exe and exenew but now I get the next message error:

SAPCAR: could not open for writing sapstartsrv.exe (error 28). The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

I need to stop the R3 system? for to follow with the phase prepare???

Close SAPMMC and try it again.

The program sapmmc it´s closed.

Seems like the upgrade is trying to update sapstartsrv.exe so yes, stop the system.
