how does idoc gets converted to xml without adapters.

hi mates

as we all know idoc's doesnt need a sender adapter, but i have a doubt. XI understands only xml.

so now how and where did the incoming idoc gets converted into xml format without any adapters.

kindly answer the question brief and clear.

As a matter of fact it is just that you dont use or configure the sender IDoc adapter. But by default a sender Idoc adapter exists in the Integration engine It is this Idoc adapter that does the conversion ....

Note: From PI7.1 you can actually configure the sender IDoc adapter also.

incoming http gets converted to xml?

the logic goes the same here too..

there is an inbound HTTP sender adapter in the integration engine.

The HTTP address actually points to that inbound channel when you trigger a http call.

Note that this channel is also configurable.

Note all sender idoc adapter can be only configurable in PI 7.1 with Ehp1 only
