Hello All,
usually when installin SAP on windows we go for JAVA 1.4.2_**.
I would like to know does SAP support any other version of Java other then Java 1.4
If not why JAVA 1.4.2_** only SAP recommends.
Please guide.
i tried searching via Google, but dint got any relevant answers. So i am posting here.

I would suggest you to go through the installation guide for the suitable JDK version for you.

hi,
I think support most of java runtime from SUN. Lately I installed SAP IDES using JRE 1.6 and it works fine.
SAP installer need JRE since its installer now based on Java.
