SAP Printing Issue - LPD Response Format Invalid

Hi Gurus,

Can someone be help to me !

SAP spool error log

Print request processing log

The host spool is reporting errors

Unable to connect to output processor

The host spool is reporting errors

Unable to establish connection to Berkeley LPD

3 connection attempts terminated with network errors.

Errors occurred processing this print request

Error during print request output. l_rc = 2

There may be no printout

"Error as well says LPD Response Format Invalid", Would appreciate if someone can help me on this.

Hello ..

I am having the same problem as Sudhir...

I have checked the Port 515... its open..also i am able to perform the test connection,

Still i am getting the same error in SP01.

Is there any other soulution to thi sproblem.

please help...

I think Shyam is right... this is a common issue. you need to make sure that Port 515 is open, also make sure that the print server is reachable you can also add the host of the print server to the hosts file.

Hi,

You have to make sure that SAP server could contact your Print Server where Berkeley LPD resides through port 515.check by using Connection Check in Printer Configuration using SPAD.

If message u201CUnable to establish connection to Berkeley LPDu201D still appear then it seems you are experincing the communication problem and/or LPD service is temporarily unavailable.
