WM for specific material type

Hi,

Can we implement WM only for specific material type or Storage Location?

Kindly advise approximate time to complete WM implementation if the warehouse is not very complicated. We want to implement it in Sugar Industry.

Hi,

If you would always receive this material in a specifc Storage location (purchasing view SLOC for EP), you would be able to use it for this specific material (type). Link only this SLOC to a WM and you're done. Don't link any other SLOC to the WM created.

A normal WM implementation might take 3-6 months including blue print, configuration, conversion and training. It depends on the situation. Some can be very complex and some might be easy. Hard to say without knowing the situation.

For a simple WM (why would you use WM and not lean WM or just IM?), you might be able to do it in less time.
