Netweaver upgrade from SCM 5.0 to Netweaver 7 with EhP1

Dear all,

I am upgrading our SCM 5.0 system to Netweaver 7 with EhP1. As I am following the guide to open up the upgrade tool and processed to the step 'Extraction', I got the following message after given the DDIC password:

DDIC password does not work:

RFC call to failed with key RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION (open): SAP_CMINIT3 : rc=20 > Connect to SAP gateway failed

Connect_PM DEST=APS, GWHOST=dpaposnd001, GWSERV=sapgw00, SYSNR=00

Our system name is APS however the system number is 01 not 00. I am not aware that I can change manually the system number during the startup process nor do I know if there is any parameter/switch that I can use to let STARTUP.BAT aware. Can you please help give some guidance?

Eric,

Check whether you can reach your gateway host and gateway host name.

Hi Manoj,

Yes the system is running okay and I can login without problem. The question I have is that the upgrade program started with default system number 00 loaded, where I don't know how to change it to match our system setting. Our system is currently having system number 01.
