SAP DMS document transfer from SAP to Microsoft share point portal

Hello All,

Sceanrio : SAP DMS has some documents stored (PDF,excel,word). Those documents needs to be displayed on microsoft share point portal.Need to analysed how can we get that document from SAP via Pi to microsoft share point portal.

Microsoft share point portal will give document name to PI and PI has to give search in SAP DMS for that particular document. If document exists in SAP DMS then that document needs to be given back to PI and PI needs to give that document to Microsoft share point portal.

Is this scenario possible using PI7.0 or PI7.1

Please suggest on this . Appreciate Quick help on this.

I suggest do not use XI for this and there should be some other way of direct communcaition between share point and SAP DMS

Hi Sharada,

Just split the scenario in two

1.Send the name of the file to PI ,PI sends that to SAP DMS

there just triger a batch program.

Batch Program will search the file and if it finds then it

Place the file in a specific folder.

2.Creat a second scenario without IR objects just ID objects to pick PDF,excel,word from that specific folder.

Hi Sharada,

Its a total waste of the capabilities of XI if you are just using it as a lookup/search tool. Business wise to its not a good solution because it would not be value for money.
