Hello all,
We are experiencing a problem in our production MI landscape with functional location data on notifications that do not contain an order. Those notifications (in the Mobile Client) with an order are able to display notification data, order data and functional location data. However, if the notification does NOT have an order, the notification shows the functional location (hyperlink) but when you click on it, it has limited data. Also, if you click on the create button, you receive a Java error. As soon as you add an order to these notifications, the functional location data is transfered and viewable. In our development landscape, the functional location data is complete for all notifications (with or without an order). Any information/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
David
Hi,
if you experience this type of error - please have a look into the data on your device first. While starting your application, you can see in the URL something like:
http://localhost:4444/XMAM/start
The XMAM part gives you the name of your Application. Please go to
http://localhost:4444/XMAM/start.jsp
Well, off course you have to change XMAM by your naming. But this screen (start.jsp) will show you which data is really on the device. In there you can see if all information for Equipments is available.
If that is the case, check your log file for any errors. It could be that there is a NullPointer exception due to missing data. Check the MAM30_010 as well if these Notifications really do not have an order assigned.
Furthermnore you can have a look into MEREP_LOG in the middleware if there are any warnings for missing Cascade relations.
Hope that helps to get you to the root cause of your issue - cause as Dilip already mentioned, this is not the normal behaviour of MAM.
Regards,
Oliver

David,
Can you elaborate your problem? What do you mean my Func. Loc. having limited data when the Notification is not linked to the Order?

Dilip

Hi Dilip,
Thanks for the response. Within the MAM client, under Notifications, all notifications are assigned a functional location and some have an order assigned to them and some do not. With those that have orders, we can click on the functional location hyperlink which will display information like street, workcenter assigned, plant, etc. Those that do not have orders only show creation date. As soon as you add an order to one of those notifications, the expected data (street, workcenter assigned, etc) appears. It appears that adding an order to a notification 'triggers' the download of all the sub data associtated with a functional location. Hope this clarifies the problem.
Kind regards,
David
Hello David,
When you click on the Func. Loc.link on Notif detail (with or without the Order-Notif association) you will be able to see all the details associated with the Func Loc. in the Func Loc detail page.
The Func. Loc. detail displays data from Func Loc header. The header data of Func. Loc. does not change with Order / Notif association.
When you have a Notif without the Order do you see the Func. Loc. link at all on the Notif Detail page?
Regards,
Dilip
