Solman Installation error

Hi All,

Installation of Solam is at 29 step("Check DDIC password") out of 47. I have stopped the Installation. I need to login to Server and change the password for DDIC.

But the problem is I am not able to logon to the server through Logon pad. I am not getting logon screen. The Server is up and running. Please suggest any solution.

Installation is Solution manager 7.0 on MS Windows 2003 server with Oracle Database.

Hi

Have you installed SAPgui in your system?

Have you provided correct applicaiton name/SID/system number

Just cross check the systemnumber once again which you have give in your saplogon pad

If you are not gettting the logon screen, then the only way you are left with is to edit the Keydb.xml file and go to the previous step where you entered the DDIC password.

After adding the server information in the sapgui logon pad you are unable to get the saplogon screen ??

or Userid and password is not working ?

I am not getting Sap logon screen itself to enter the credentials.

SID, Instance no and host is fine.

It could be the problem of your SAPGui installation. Try to logon from some other system.

It looks like you have entered some strange character in the password (master password) while starting the installation. Please post sapinst log from <drive>:\Program Files\sapinst_instdir\... directory.

Thanks for your help. I tried that option. The Server is up and running. But not able to logon to the server using logon pad. Its not connecting to the server after which i can logon using SAP*.

Any other suggestions.
