Integration Builder and Repository and SLD question

Hi All,

We have DX1 (dev) / QX1 (QA) / and PX1 (Prod) systems in XI environment.

I want to create Master SLD running on PX1 server. I have read OSS note 720717 and “How to SLD for XI guide”. I have also made changes to "SLD parameters" in QX1 server as per OSS note 720717 to point it to PX1-SLD. I have following questions.

After running SXMB_IFR transaction in QX1 server, it opens IE browser of Exchange Infrastructure pointing to PX1 server where Master SLD running on PX1 (URL : http://sappx1:50000/rep/start/index.jsp) . And it also shows other links of Integration Buider (IB) and Integration repository (IR) which are pointing to PX1 server.

But what about Developers who will use this Transaction SXMB_IFR ? They will be pointing to IB and IR of PX1 as well. So how do I solve this problem? How do I differentiate between SLD running on PX1 while IR and IB pointing to QX1 server, OR is their any setting I have make in QX1 server so that developers can use this SXMB_IFR transaction and can access IR and IB running on QX1 server but not on PX1 server?

Hi Sandeep,

According to you, you are sharing SLD for different XI environments right ?

I you will be having different XI Servers for different XI environments. You are shring SLD only.

SO whenever developer opens QA server, he will be able to open ID,IR of QA XI server only. Becuase URL will be maintained like that in the profiles.

SO there will not be a any clash between IR and ID s of different environment.

Hi

thank you for you response,

Yes, I want to Share one SLD across DX1/ QX1 /PX1

When I exeute transaction SXMB_IFR in QX1 server, link of IB and IR still points to PX1 server.

Which profile I have to maintain? I did not understand, can you please explain more?

Thanks

HI,

While installing different XI systems, you will be assigned URL/port etc for each environment. In there you need to configure these.

Are you able to ping different XI servers using IP address? Because each XI server will be having different IP addresses right ?

And instead o ftrying from ABAP stack try directly giving the URL in the browser- http://XIserver or IP address:port/rep/start/index.jsp

Check with installation guide for more.

Hi

Thanks again,

I'm able to ping all severs with hostnames and IP addresses.

I'm able to access the IR and IB with their respective URLS on QX1 / PX1 servers as well. I can use the IR and IB by using URL, but for developers it will be confusing for them if they use SXMB_IFR transaction.

As far as the link of exchange profile

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ea/f02840d89d185de10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm

as per OSS note 720717, point 3, it tells to point "connections" settings of QX1 server to Master SLD host

(PX1 in my case )

Hi Murthy

I was able to solve the problem,

my modifying the "Connections" in http://host:port:exchangeProfile for

com.sap.aii.connect.cr.name to Master SLD PX1

com.sap.aii.connect.landscape.name to Master SLD PX1

and all other following parameters to Local QX1 server and rebooted the server. It is correctly pointing to Master SLD and Local IR and IB

com.sap.aii.connect.directory.name

com.sap.aii.connect.integrationserver.name

com.sap.aii.connect.repository.name

com.sap.aii.connect.rwb.name

com.sap.aii.ib.server.connect.webas.r3.ashost

THank you for your help
