Hi
I have a question about how the process works for the Stock Transfer Order solution, when the issuing plant uses handling units and the receiving plant do not( IM storage location). If we after having received the order at the receiving plant wants to do a return delivery, would it then be possible for the system to reuse the original handling unit number from the issuing plant?
with regards

Hi,
If you use inbound deliveries and have these made by message type SPED, you can re-use the original HU number.
The process would be like this:
Plant A with SLOC 0001 - HU managed and WM managed
Plant B with SLOC 0002 - Non HU and Non WM
STO for 2 pieces with supplying plant A and SLOC 0001. Packing takes place in outbound delivery. After GI, an inbound delivery gets created and HU from outbound is transferred to inbound delivery. GR in plant B and SLOC 0002.
Then return proces, new STO with supplying plant B and SLOC 0002 and receiving plant A with SLOC 0001. Create outbound delivery and add original HU number manually. Post GI and SPED creates inbound delivery. HU is transferred from outbound to inbound. Post GR and original HU number is back in original plant and SLOC.
In any case you need to work with inbound deliveries in the HUM SLOC. Else you're not able to receive HU's. You also need to set unique number assignment in HUM customizing to ensure unique numbers.
