How to set priority for selective spool/print requests

Hello,

We have high volume of spool requests being generated, now the problem is that some of the spool requests generated by programs / transactions need to be printed immediately without being placed in queue. For eg Goods receipt etc.

How can we set the priority for these few print/spool requests to be printed immediately or placed on top of the print queue.

Please suggest.

Hi Zaheer

Print immediately can be set for printers while configuring one in SPAD.

Apart from that , for specific spool requests, we need to set the priority. This option is available as one of the spool attributes and can be altered manually but not sure if this happens automatically.

Hi Chetan,

Thank you for the document it was informative. I researched further for this issue and found out about setting the 'Logical Spool Server' which helps in spool load balancing when you have multiple servers. Also the TemSe can be increased whicg stores the remporary spool requests.
