Location of XML configuration file for EHP4 Upgrade

Former Member

Hi!

I am about to upgrade SAP ERP 6.0 to EHP4. Therefore I must use Maintenance Optimizer from SAP Solution Manager. By doing so a XML configuration file should be created.

Unfortunately I could find this file neither on EPSin directory of my SAP system nor on EPSin directory from SAP Solution Manager.

Question:

Can this file be downloaded locally?

What is the standard directory of this file by default?

Thank you very much!

regards

Jürgen

What version of Solution Manager do you have?

The XML file wasn't created in SolMan 7.0 SPS 17 without https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1233954 That was fixed in SPS 18 / EHP1.

Hi!

Many thanks for your response.

My SAP Solution Manager version is SPS 16.

Are here any problems/restrictions?

What is the location of this file?

Thank you!

According to Note 1134872 Maintenance Optimizer: FAQ for Stack Delta Files

(Attention: you need to implement the correction instruction of this FAQ Note for SP16)

For SP16, it says to also see:

1166937 Maintenance Optimizer: delete stack-dependent files

1233954 MOPZ: No XML Generated in EPS Inbox

1243197 MOPZ: Add Caption for Product and Stack of Stack Delta XML

1308152 MOPZ: Check configuration for stack delta XML generation

1311841 Maintenance Optimizer: Rename stack delta index file

P.S. with SP 18, it puts the file in EPS/in. It probably does that for SP 16 as well, since you can't download it separately any more.

Hi!

Many thanks for your response with detailed information.

To clarify: the configuration file will be put into EPS\in directory of SOLMAN or satellite system?

Thank you!

EPS/in of the satellite. It's magic!

(actually this "time saving" feature is more trouble than it's worth...)

EPS/in of SolMan is correct !
