regarding bidding engine

hai friends,

can we do bidding activities in the sourcing menu of operational purchaser or it needs any separate bidding engine. i one pdf i have read bid invitation can be raised by sourcing application and bidding engine.does it needs any configuration in img guide ?

You can create Bid Invitation for requirements from Sourcing Cockpit. Once you hae created the bid invitation. You can further refine them using "Process Bid Invitations" from Bidding engine. Also you can create Bid Invitations from scratch with this. BTW Bidding engine is part of SRM.

Hi ,

As stated above, in the standard SRM system it is possible to create Bid Invitations and Auctions from the sourcing cockpit. There is no further configuration needed for this functionality. The Bids, or Auctions will be created here and then can be edited using Process Bid Invitations/Auctions.
