Error reading job log

Hi,

I have schuduled the background job,but that job got failled.But i am unable to see the job log.It show the message like"Error reading job log JOBLX11135300X23450"

Why i am unable to get this job log?Where is the problem.

Kindly help me.

Check if the log exist on /sapmnt/<sid>/global/<client>JOBLG directory

I able to see this job log in this path.But i can't able to see the decription in sap(sm37).

Hiii Venky,

go to the application server on which this job was running and then check the job logs,you will be able to see them

Thabks,No i able to see the log.What is the reason i can't able to see the job log if i am in different server.

This is because /usr/sap should be mounted as /sapmnt in all application servers to the same location... if you have different directories in each server then they'll be exclusive to that server.

Solution, mount /sapmnt/<sid> of the CI in the application servers.
