New Material Creation in SRM

Hi all,

While creating a new Material, i am geting the message "No basis hierarchy for product type 01".

Plz assist.

Hello SK

I guess the message you got is

"No base hierarchy for product type 01"

When you create a material directly in SRM you need to have Product Hirrarchy and Product Category assigned to it.

For creating the Hierarchy access the Transaction-COMM_HIERARCHY

under which you can assign the Product Category defined.

Aftter defining the above you can select the category for creating the material.

I have created a New Hierarchy and Product Category.In <COMMPRO1>, when i enter the New Category, i encounter this message. "No basis hierarchy for product type 01" in SRM 7.0 system.

Hi SK,

When you replicate material groups from R3 you should get 2 hierarchies in R3MATCLASS.

R3MATCLASS

1. R3MATCLASS LOGICAL SYSTEM OF R3

2. R3MATCLASS LOGICAL SYSTEM SRM

Under 1 - All your material groups should exist.

Under 2 you need to create you sub category, Under that only you should create a material from SRM.

Otherwise system will throw this error.

Please check again with your hierarchies replication is proper or not.
