Hi,
SAP GURUS,
i have gone through the threads of back order processing.
My question is, is it required that sales orders should be only open orders
OR in other words no subsequent docs should not be produced?
Thanks
Rahul
In simple language, if there is any quantity that has not been delivered fully and stock is available, then while backorder processing, system will confirm the stock against that order.
thanks

HI Rahul
When you create the sales order and if stock is not confirmed then ,system will give the next delivery date and you can do the backorder processing for that sales order . So backorder processing is done only for Open orders
