hi,
what is functionality of LDAP in SAP EP.
Thanks
Hi Kundan,
LDAP is light weight directory access protocal used to authenticate users in windows or any other operating system. Its a standard provided by IEEE. To make sure the user administration easier and also to save the costs to the clients, SAP supports LDAP integration with Enterprise portal or SAP.
So users can use thier own windows /os passwords to login to enterprise portal. i.e. all users are maintained in active directory.

Hi,
LDAP can be used to store SAP Enterprise portal users information. Then identity server authenticates the user against this LDAP repository.
Hope this helps.
