Hello all,
I've read the document "Maintenance Optimizer" in which some steps are described to configure a new SAP Solution Manager installation.
One step is "Create RFC Connection to SAP". After configuration of this step, I did a connection test in SM59 (RFC connection "SAP-OSS") and got a connection error. Some details from the error message:
Error when opening an RFC connection
ERROR: connection to 147.204.2.5:3299 timed out
DETAIL: RTPENDLIST::timeoutPend: ROUTED timeout
On OS level, I've started a SAP router with the following route table:
P 147.204.2.5 10.31.0.11 3299
P 10.31.0.11 147.204.2.5 3299
P 147.204.2.5 10.31.0.11 3299
P * 147.204.2.5 3299 *
Is there anything more to do to connect my SAP Solution Manager to SAP? My target is to download new support packages via Solution Manager.
Anyway, is there any better documentation for configuration?
Thanks in advance.
Michael

If you want to use sapserv3 (147.204.2.5) you have to tell SAP the address of your saprouter first so that they put your official IP in the firewall. sapserv3 is not reachable without that.

Hi Nagaraj,
have a look at Service Marketplace. There is a note which contains information about registering your ip with SAP (don't know the note number).
If I remember correctly, you have to send a document with the registration details to SAP
Best regards
Michael
