Hi gurus,

There is a requirement where the planner needs to manually change the Production (Planned) Row values in the SNP Planning Table. But while making the changes it is not allowing to change and an error is coming:

Generation error in TSTR_PERIODS_FACTORYCALENDAR

Message no. T9506

Diagnosis

An error has occurred in the generation program for the time stream.

System Response

System termination.

Procedure

Contact the system administrator.

Can anybody point me on how to correct this problem.

I have looked for some SAP Notes but they are not helpful as they pertain to earlier versions of SAP SCM.

Hi Sarvesh,

Let me check for some other sap notes pertaining to SAP 5.0. Meanwhile I would suggest to open up an OSS message on the same so that sap will advise on suitable note or support pack to resolve your error.

Just a thought, whether any change is done in UTC time zone in planning calendar on day light time saving.

Hi all,

I got the problem resolved. Actually it was happening only for certain products at certain locations. Some LiveCache consistency error maybe. It automatically stopped showing an error and got resolved. I didn,t do anything.

Thanks all for the valuable feedback.

Hi Sarvesh,

We also faced the same problem in our production system.

We had found the reason and implement proper solution and resolved our issue.

Other team had transport few objects in APO and those objects affect the Factory calendar.

So we implemented OSS Note 1741443 - PDS validity in the future and GR processing time .

Our problem got resolved.

That too is valid for only till SAP Basis Release 610. We are using 700 here...

Still thanks a lot for the replies...

Hi Senthil,

That SAP Note 739187 is for earlier version of SCM (410). I am having SCM 5.1. Any other note..

Hi Rathore,

Please carry out the following consistency checks to capture the exact error.

/SAPAPO/CONSCHK - Model Consistency Check

/SAPAPO/TSCONS - Consistency Check for Time Series Network

/SAPAPO/PSTRUCONS - Consistency Check for Planning Object Structure

Kindly confirm the outputs of these checks.

R. Senthil Mareeswaran.

Hi Senthil,

I did the consistency check and there are no inconsistencies...

For POS consistency check it is not allowing for SNP POS. Only DP POS is checking.

Sarvesh

Hi Rathore,

Means you need to define fixed production planned in this figure? if yes then need to create one more key figure as production planned create macro with color coding.

when you change / maintained any values in this key figure it will show production planned as fixed with color identification.

Need to hide the standard production planned in planning book.

Hi Mangesh,

Actually the requirement is similar to what you have stated. We are showing an average of production planned for say 3 weeks in a different key figure using a macro. This average quantity is confirmed with the business and after that the planner manually changes the Production Planned key figure to the agreed quantity. But the error is occurring at this stage when manually changing the values.

Hi Rathore,

Please check whether any new plant or location has been added in the system with different timezone not matching with planning calendar. This may cause problem.

Hi Senthil,

Thanks for the reply. I have already checked it and the time zones are maintained properly. I have also tried changing the factory calendar and also tried using the standard storage bucket profile. Still the problem is there.

Any other way please...

Thanks,

Sarvesh
