Hi,

Can you guide me on how to configure a printer using a access method E? What are the needed information or things that are needed to be configured on it?

This depends on what output management system you have and how it's connected.

Hi,

We are using Logical Output Management System. What are the details needed and configuration that I need to do? How would I define a host printer in access method E, meaning Is there any hint in knowing what is the naming convention for a printer name?

Again - this depends on WHAT system you use. Some use RFC connections, some use a webservice, some use local files...

Check the documentation of the OMS.

Hi,

How to define a printer in OS level? What file do need to look into?

Well - this depends on the OS and spooler software you use...

Unfortunately I don't have a crystal ball to see what operating system you are running on your Solution Manager...

Hi,

How would I know if the printer defined using access method E is working fine? Is there such thing as check connection on it?

Lebron,

your questions are too generic.

The printer works fine if he prints. Since you did still not specify what output management system you use/plan to use and which operating system you use, it's just impossible to give any suggestions.

It like asking "how to check if my car is working"...

Please tell us:

- what operating system you use

- what output management system you use and on which operating system it runs

Then we may give you a suggestion.

I don't know that one - but you may start with

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/d9/4a943c51ea11d189570000e829fbbd/frameset.htm

how to check and configure the printers - depending on how that OMS is connected.
