Starting the Migration Monitor

Former Member

Hello

I'm reading the System Copy Guide and am looking at the chapter regarding Starting the MIgration monitor. It says that it can be strated using the UNix shell script export_monitor.sh.

However, I don't have this shell script on my server, and I can't find it on the Instalation Master CD for SAP NetWeaver 7.

Does anyone know where these scripts come from and how I can get them..?

This is my first time doing a copy/migration so am not that familiar with the processes.

Cheers

Craig

Hi Craig,

You can find 'MIGMON.SAR' inside the /common/install folder of installation master. export_monitor.sh is a part of it. It also contains the migration monitor document MigrationMonitor.pdf which describes the usage of these scripts.

Thanks,

Debasis.

Hi

The MIGMON.SAR file is extracted since NW release 700 by default for any installation/migration using SAPINST.

The export_monitor.sh is part of the archive . It calls the migmon.jar to execute the export of the database.

You can find it in the installation directory.

The script is part of "migmon.jar" which is unpacked when you started the system copy.
