Hi All,
I am applying patch for s/w component FINBASIS on my production server but it is taking too long
the problem here is not with this component only but with every patch that i had applied..
it took 12-13 hrs to update SPAM...
SAP: ECC6.0 SR3
Oracle: 10.2.0.2.0
Solaris 5.10
H/W: T6300 Sun Blade

Hi,
Did you update the kernel before applying the patch. Many a times the slow running patch is when the kernel is not updated.
Also check if the tp connect command runs successfully.

Hi,
Looks like patches are getting applied successfully but taking long time. How much is the RAM and paging file on this server. Make sure your paging file is atleast 3-4 times of RAM.

thanx for the prompt response ..
but i have upgraded kernel patch and SPAM before applying patches....
I had run SGEN when i installed the system 4 months back...
My Kernel is 700
Patch level : 185
SPAM: 33
and tp is connecting just fine...
