Incident Management versus Service Desk

Hi,

Could anyone tell me the difference between Incident Management (a Workcenter) and Service Desk (in Solution Manager). Are they connected in any way?

Do I need to configure Service Desk to use Incident Management?

In addition

If you are on EHP1 then you can goto Solman_workcenter ..incident mangement tab which shows all the incident/service desk messages.
