Condition Record

Hi All,

We have a requirement where we are using a Z transaction to upload the pricing a condition record from text file. Here our requirement is to store the promotion numbers (note : promotions are created out side SAP) while uploading the condition records. The promotion numbers are attached to each condition record in the text file.

So my idea is to create a new field in the field catalogue and then insert the same in the condition table. But the question is while uploading the condition record and creating sales order will it do any validation against this field (as if we will not maintain any data base for the promotion numbers).

Please suggest this approach is correct or there is any other way to handle this requirement?

Can you please tell us importance of promotion numbers in the SAP system, so that we can have better solution.

Hi Murali,

Thank you for your reply.

Please note that based on the promotions created in other system, we are passing the discounts to customer in the form of credit notes in SAP.

Also the condition records are being send from other system with the promotion number attached to it.

We need to create CMR and credit memo with this promotion number attached to it.

I hope now u got our requirement.
