Hello all,
Now our client is about to perform year end activities. I have a doubt related to number range change in SNRO. Usually we change/extend number ranges with corresponding objects, our client wants to submit all the Excise group no and Series group no ranges to Excise authorities in advance for the financial year 2009.
My doubt is if i create the number range for 2009 on todays date i.e. in advance, will system pickup the 2009 number ranges on 1st of april correctly. Is that the reference of number ranges are influenced by financial year?
Please advice....
Thanks in advance
Praveen...........
There is one risk in maintaining the number range in advance. Let us assume your end user by oversight, in VF01, manually enter the date as 23-03-10 instead of 23-03-09, then in that case, it will have wrong impact on all accounting documents.
So you should double ensure that no manual intervention is there either in billing or in excise invoice.
thanks

Hi
Even if you create 2009 number ranges the system will pick the old number ranges only
Only on April 1 it will pick the new number ranges
this is because u r FISCAL YEAR VARIANT will be V3 i.e means from APRIL 1 to MARCH 31

Yes you can maintain now itself for the Financial Year 2009-10 in SNRO. System will consider only the year on 1st of April and accordingly the new number range will flow into your excise documents.
