Wrong Delivieries attached to the Shipment

Former Member

Dear All,

We have number of shipping points and Transportation planning points which are been handled by different users.

There is a possibility for the User to select wrong Deliveries for his transportation planning point. So this was controlled using Variants but still the User is doing mistake by not selecting the Variants and trying to manually create a shipment document and assigning different deliveries of different shipping points and creating the problem for other users.

Can we have any other alternative to restrict the User to Use only his transportation planning point and he should not be able to attach different deliveries other than his shipping points? Do we have any settings in terms of the Authorizations or User profiles or any standard User exits or anything where I should be able to restrict him instead of depending on him on Variants to be used.?

Appreciate your quick and valuable replies on this

Regards

Mahesh

Hi Mahesh Gubba,

Speak to the system administrator or your basis consultant and ask him to restrict that particular user to have access to his own limited area and remove authorisations for other organisational units.

Dear Mahesh,

It is Very Much possible. I have faced same problem previously.

As suggested by US ealrier in above reply, Please conatct your basis Consultant. You can Restrict the user from using Certain Enterprise Objects like Sales Org, Shipping point,

Or there is another possibility that you can allow entering shipment only using varients. That way users will use their saved Varients without choice and stop making mistakes. Check with basis Consultant if you can further restricting Varients if necessary e.g XYZ variant only for people from ABC shipping point.

Hope solves your problem.

Regards,
