Hi experts,
I am being turned over SAP System Operation.
And now, they execute tcd:PFUD soon after Role transport.
But I think that it is all right to execute somethin job.
And in note 640988, it write PFCG_TIME_DEPENDENCY and RHAUTUPD_NEW.
I can't understand difference both of them.
Could you tell me it?
Thank you in advance.
BR,
Toshi
Hi Toshi
Both are reports used for comparison of user master resords between two SAP systems.
In general, PFUD = PFCG_TIME_DEPENDENCY = RHAUTUPD_NEW.
RHAUTUPD_NEW lets you go to SM36 and schedule a job with a variant.
This is where RHAUTUPD_NEW is more beneficial than the other options as it lets you select the roles to process and when. If your naming convention is well throughout, you can RHAUTUPD_NEW the US type roles at 1:00AM CST and the Asia roles at 1:00PM CST. This hold true for Shift differences if this is an issue as well.
Summarizing, PFCG_TIME_DEPENDENCY evaluates everything where RHAUTUPD_NEW can be used with a variant to eliminate the SAP roles that are not used.
