Release status and user name in DIR

Hi,

When a DIR status is set to released status by another user. The original user name in DIR should reflect the name of the new user or what is the standard behaviour in this case.

or

Whenever a new status is set by another user, does the user name in DIR should change by default.

Request any input that will help.

Hi

The "User" field inside the DIR is the "User Responsible for the Document"... When a user creates a DIR, the User filed shows his log in name , but the creator of the DIR can put any SAP user name as User responsible for the Document..

With respect to status, the name of the user who "set" the status is shown in "Status Log"..

The "User" field in the DIR and the "Set by" user name in the Status field are different..

For eg : if User ABC is responsible for the Document, we can fill the "User" as ABC in the DIR and when the status is changed by XYZ , in the status log it shows status set by "XYZ" ..

The "User" field have various other functionalities such as notifications through standard task TS 7842, if the setting is done in the Workflow Object ID in dc 10 of that particular status..
