Dear ABAPers,
I have created the smartform. In that smartform i am using two different page formats portrait as well as landscape.i am using main window in both the the page formats. The width of the main window is different in both the page formats.while checking the smartforms it gives error "Main window MAIN on page SECOND_PAGE has wrong width".
How to solve this error. But i need the different width in main window in both portrait as well as in Landscape Page format.
Thanks & Regards,
Ashok.
Hi Ashok,
U cannot have two different formats in a single smart form, u need to switch to Adobe forms for such requirement. In fact one of tha advantages of adobeforms is to have two different formats in a single form.
Refer to the point in bold
Advantages over Smart Forms/SAP script
. PDF is a de-facto standard for forms in the Web
. Adobe Lifecycle Designer as an easy to use, flexible tool for designing
forms
. Adobe LiveCycle Designer is fully integrated into the SAP's IDEs: SAP
NetWeaver Development Studio (Java) and ABAP Workbench
. Graphics (BMP, JPEG, GIF, PNG, EXIF) can be included into forms directly
. no conversion required
. Objects (including texts) can be rotated
. Different page orientations (landscape, portrait) are possible within one form
. Graphical elements can be included in forms
. Forms can be created so that they conform to accessibility standards
. Complex layout elements can be shared between form developers
. Existing PDF or Word documents can be imported
. TrueType Fonts can be used; installation requires no upload
. Barcodes can be printed on all printers of types Postscript, PCL, PDF, or
Zebra
. Mailing and faxing is easier
. Forms are regular Repository objects with standard transport and versioning
. Interactive scenarios and integration into browser-based applications are
possible (Web Dynpro for Java or ABAP

Hi Ashok,
Ex: DINA4 page format.
For the portrait format
width : 210 MM,
Height : 297 MM.
For the landscape format
width : 297 MM,
Height : 210 MM.
The dimensions will change accordingly with the page formats set the window sizes accordingly to the page formats.

Hi,
In smart forms you cannot have main windows of 2 different widths.
you can have 2 different heights but not 2 different widths
refer this link
[http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/b1/243fdabeee11d4b633006094192fe3/content.htm]
you can have different page formats in the smart forms, but the width should remain same in both the formats.
thanks
sarves
