By the way, you have not installed Oracle the proper way. you ran SETUP.exe instead of SAPSERVER.CMD

have you read the installation guide Before attempting to install your new instance?

This is a Listener problem:

ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor dblink#5 @ 431

looks like your DB is not correctly defined in the Listener definition file or it is not up.

Hii

This seems to be the problem of listener.I guess listener is not up,check the status of listenere

login as ora<SID> user and do lsnrctl status

If it is down, start listener using lsnrctl start and then start database

Then try starting SAP.if it comes up gud

other wise post the contents of your tnssames.ora file

Hi,

if the two people who answer you (and the error) are telling that the issue is the listener, I wonder why you post here your tnsnames.ora.

I would expect that you post at least one of the following

  • the listener.ora

  • the listener.log

  • the output of lsnrctl status

but you post the tnsnames.ora, that provides no information at all related to the error (unless you provide the listener.ora)

I hope it is clear, please, post (at least) the listener.ora

Hi,

Don't you see the problem after posting the tnsnames and the listener?

I'll assume that the IP address for prdserver is 167.147.0.200.

If it is not, then that would be a problem.

You are sending a request to the listener on the port 1521

Your listener is configured to "listen" on the port 1527

therefore

> ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor
