SAP* user Password

Dears,

Recently I installed BI Ides,After installation,In Client 001 system was not taking my SAP* password.

So as per standred process I changed parameter No_automatic_SAP to 0,deleted SAP* for client 001 from usr02,restarted database and SAP.

Now I am able to login in 001 by sap* and pass by issue is when i go to su01 it shows SAP* user does not exist,Even in table usr02 also I do not find any entry for SAP* 001.

Please suggest what is its root cause, when this user does not exist in 001 how i get login by this user in client 001.

Shivam,

Thats correct. SAP* is kernel user which you will not find in su01 unless you create manually and works with password 'pass' if you set the parameters login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0.

For security reason, please create user sap* with password (password as per your policy). Also revert back the parameter once you finished it.

Hope this helps.
