MDM 5.5 SP3 Installation

Hello,

We are new to MDM component arena. I really appreciate if you folks can answer to the following quick questions:

1. Do we need to install NW2004 engine?

2. If so, ABAP or JAVA engine?

3. While Installing, which Master CD do I have to use to select the MDM components?

I have gone thru the installation guide, no one is talking about NW2004 engine..

Could you provide me the steps to perfom the MDM installation...

Hi Gurus,

I have a few questions regarding my XI and MDM installation ....

1: Can we have XI and MDM installtion done on the same box using same

hostname.??

2. Can you please let me know as to what should be the minimum or a good

server configuration for a MDM Installation.

3.Also if someone can please provide the configuration steps for a

successful MDM installation or can provide a helpful link where i can

find the confiuration steps.

4. Any realtime e.g of XI interfacing with MDM.

I hope i get to hear from the gurus very soon .

No, As of now SAP MDM is a standalone installation

Components:

MDM Server

MDM Console

To manage the Server and Repositories

MDM Data Manager

To Maintain MasterData

MDM Import Manager

for Importing Data into MDM Repositories

MDM Syndicator

For Data distribution.

Import Manager Server,Import Manager BAtch.

To schedule Periodic imports.

Syndicator Server, Syndicator Batch.

To schedule Periodic distributions.
