Characteristics not getting ciffed to APO from R/3

Hi,

While ciffing class/characteristicsw from ECC to APO we are facing an

error message - "The characteristic could not be created. A

characteristic of the same name already exists."

These characteristics were getting ciffed earlier and ciffing was fine.

Since yesterday we are facing this issue.

Please help me resolve this issue.

Regards,

Pankaj

Hi Pankaj,

Analyze the records of TCL_ATINN_IDENT table (APO side) for that characteristic.

1. SOURCE - maybe that characteristic was CIFfed from another Logical system

2. ATINN_OLD, ATNAM - must be the same as in ECC (CABN table).

So you can catch the cause of error.

Hi Pankaj,

What is the reason of that duplicated records? What is "other logical system"?

Contact your basis team whether you should run BDLS.

In any case you can delete the LUW from CIF queue and the classification will work fine.

Alexander

Hi Pankaj,

Goto CFM3 t-code, find out the active integration models against various logical systems for those duplication area, then use CFM2 t-code, to de-activate the integration model where it got duplicated. Then use CFM7 t-code to delete the integration model which is not required(duplicate).

Hi Pankaj,

Just check whether any class or characteristics are created in duplication with same class type.
