Hi Srinivas A
The TAS Interface provides seamless integration between mySAPu2122
Oil & Gas and external terminal automation systems. The system
integration made possible by the TAS Interface improves the business
processes involved in terminal management, such as taking
orders, managing terminal operations for orders and the corresponding
shipments, and managing tank stocks in the terminal.
The TAS Interface sends data on loading transactions (such as
details on contracts, orders, and shipments) from mySAP Oil &
Gas to the terminal automation system. The terminal automation
system performs the loading transactions using the information
received from mySAP Oil & Gas. After the loading transactions
have taken place, the terminal automation system sends
the information on the loading process to mySAP Oil & Gas
through the TAS Interface. mySAP Oil & Gas processes this
information and automatically posts the relevant documents.
The TAS Interface transfers loading information about the pickup
and shipment of product, movement of goods, and physical
inventory.
The TAS Interface supports the following functions:
u2022 Sending loading information to an external terminal
automation system
u2022 Receiving loading information from the external terminal
automation system and providing that information to mySAP
Oil & Gas using:
u2013 Intermediate documents (IDocs) and application linking
enabling (ALE)
u2013 An internal table and a remote function call (RFC)
u2022 Manually entering loading information in mySAP Oil & Gas
u2022 Processing loading information in mySAP Oil & Gas

Hi Srinivas,
In standard business transactions supported by SAP for Oil & Gas, quantities are processed to support a range of business processes, including inventory movements such as goods issues and receipts. These quantities are often captured using sophisticated technical measuring equipment such as automatic tank gauges and flow meters, which form part of the terminal automation system (TAS). This data is passed to SAP for Oil & Gas for evaluation and processing. IS-TAS allows automatic transfer of data between the TAS and SAP R/3. The R/3 System then automatically processes that information.
The Terminal Automation System Interface supports the transfer of loading information for the
pick-up, shipment, goods movement, and physical inventory business processes.
Features
The Terminal Automation System Interface supports the following functions:
u2022 Sending of loading information to an external system
u2022 Receipt of loading information from an external system, for the R/3 System:
u2212 The use of IDocs and ALE (Application Linking and Enabling)
u2212 The use of an internal table and a Remote Function Call (RFC)
u2022 The manual entry of loading information in the R/3 System
u2022 The processing of loading information in the R/3 System
The system uses various different function modules for automatic processing. Which
one it uses will depend on whether the loading information is entered in the sales
contract, order/contract call-off, or shipment.
For more information on this, refer to the
corresponding Implementation Guide under Industry Solution Oil & Gas
(Downstream) u2192 TD u2192 Terminal Automation System Interface u2192 Define functions
and function groups.
In the following online documentation, the term "TAS" is often used in
combination with other terms (for example, TAS group, TAS-relevant, TAS status
table). TAS is the abbreviation for Terminal Automation System and, when
combined with other terms, indicates a relationship with the Terminal Automation
System.
