MSCS cluster stopping and starting procedure

HI all,

I installed MSCS cluster in window2003 environment

OS : win2003

DB : Oracle

SAP : ECC6.0 SR2

whats the procedure stoping and starting procedure

I have 3 groups in cluster administartor

OScluster

SAPGroup

DBGroup

1) i want to move the groups 1 node to another node whats the sequence of moving groups

2)when i want to take full file system backup what groups need to take offline and befor taking offline all the groups i have to stop SAP and DB manually

Hello Vishal,

When you bring down,first take SAP group offline and then Oracle group

Follow the vice-versa when bringing them up

Just right click on the respective cluster froup and take offline.

Now in a cluster environment you need to have SAP running on one node and DB running on other

so what is the sequence you are asking for,just keep SAP on one node and DB on other,you dont need to shift it daily on other nodes

and yes before taking the nodes down you first need to bring SAP down and then Database and then you can bring the nodes down
