Can u tell which reply has helped u to solve this issue

so that the other forum members will also have a chance to know

before closing any thread make an habit of giving the solution.

I always observe your threads you simply close them without updating the status how it has been resolved

I agree with Rithvika that when you close your thread, you are suppose to indicate whether the issue is solved due to the suggestions given in the forum or you yourself had solved. If you had solved the issue on your own, that also should be updated in the forum.

As you would agree members have spent time in helping you and you should respect their service.

On the other hand, you can also ignore this request but please note you may not be getting suggestions promptly henceforth. Hope you will update for all the closed threads.

I guess there is one missing link which i understand you can try this VOV4 for your solution.

SALES DOC TYPEITEM CAT GROUPUSAGE+HIGH LEVEL ITEM CAT =DEFAULT ITEM CAT( You can also specify what can be the preferred Manual Item Category here.

You got this message because the item category is not determined in your sales document.

NORM is the item category group that is maintained in your material master.

Item Category is an indicator that defines the characteristics of a document item. For example, the item category controls the type and scope of:

Pricing

Billing

Delivery

Inventory posting

Transfer of requirements

Item category is determined by

Sales document type +item category group +usage + higher level item category = default item category

Go to SPRO -- Sales and Distribution -- Sales -- Sales Documents -- Sales Document Item -- Assign Item Categories

Hi,

go to VOV4 and give item category determination like ur error

AP1+norm nilnil= item category u want.

this table T184 determination realted, it exists here then only ur item cat determination comes in Sales order
