Hi all,

We are upgrading from 4.6c to Ecc 6.0. When we run the prepare its is not showing this

In the joblog

for object QPADEV001DD01OFR 034579. MCH0601

Optical volume D51033520 is read only.

SAPup ended with return code -1. **.

It is creating the folders in /put directory other than ua folder. I manually extracted the UA700.sar to put directory. After that we can start the Uaserver.But the sapup is not connecting.

When we run prepare it is creating all folders except ua folder. In the joblog it is showing like this.

i manually extracted ua700.sar to ua. we can start the uaserver but it is not connecting to sapup.

Hi Basis

Assuming you already did the first step of extracting the SAPup/sapupsrv library without errors,

I would suggest to copy the Upgrade master( think this is your upgrade master CD: D51033520, I did not check...) to the IFS and then run prepare from the SAPup upgrade menu(option 1), with the path to the upgrade master specified till the ".../..../..../....PPC64" directory.

Hope that helps...Looks like a read error or authrization error to the CD...not sure though...

WHo are you running it as? SIDADM?? SIDOFR...?

Hi Abhai,

Thanks for your reply. we run prepare from both CD and IFS .we are getting the same problem sapup exit with return code -1

when we run prepare that is no1 it is not showing any option like EXIT ,SERVER and Scroll.when we check logs it is extracting every thing except SAPUP.when it is calling sapup it is showing the same message .
